As the battle continues, Naruto doesn’t fight back as he remembers how he had always wanted to be friends with Sasuke.

Naruto escapes Sasuke’s Dragon Flame technique and punches Sasuke. He keeps doing so, but Sasuke doesn’t even bother trying to block it. He says that Naruto can’t beat him because he doesn’t have the hate that he does. He knocks Naruto into the ground and tells more about Itachi. He explains how he joined the academy, and how nice Itachi was. However, one day things change and Sasuke sees hate in Itachi’s eyes for the first time.
